The First Blog

Well, I never thought I'd have a journal like this, but already I can see the advantages. I'd like to write about my book, "The Cielo; A Novel of Wartime Tuscany," and about my appearances for the book, but also about Italy and what's happening there. I hope this will be of interest not only to people who may be interested in my book, but also those who have some broad interests in Italian literature and culture.

This has been a busy time for me. On Saturday, I was interviewed by a reporter for the Marquette Tribune, on Sunday, I appeared on Voce d'Italia on a Racine radio station, and on Monday, I was photographed for an arrticle to be in the April issue of "M" Magazine.

Besides being at all Schwartz Bookstores in the Milwaukee area, "The Cielo" is now also at the Barnes&Noble in Bayshore. My reading at Schwartz on Downer is scheduled for March 22, and I heard from them today: They want more books.

I will try to keep these entries short, but write them regularly. So come back again!
